Margie Marie Mitchell Puryear, 82, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Harnett County on March 23, 1939 to the late James Moses Mitchell and Emma Gregory Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her son, Ricky Wayne Puryear.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, Edward Alton Puryear; daughter, Janet Puryear; and grandchildren, Mitchell Will and Natakawa Ayala.

Margie was a loving wife and mother. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but the greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She will surely be missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with Reverend Hollis Federick officiating.
