May 23, 2021, 68, Goldsboro –
Patsy Faircloth Mozingo, 68, closed her eyes to this temporary home to awaken in her eternal home, resting in the presence of her Savior on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Patsy was born in Goldsboro to the late Graham A. Faircloth and Charlotte Mae Beasley Faircloth on October 19, 1952. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick Best; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pat and Bessie Mozingo; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Marie and Ralph Jones and Judy and Jessie Moore; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Johnson and Donald Howard.
Alongside her husband, Larry, the two built a loving, Christian home in which to raise their children. An ever-present pillar at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Patsy taught her children by example by her generosity to others and service to her Lord.
Family was the most important part of Patsy’s life. No matter the occasion, time spent with them was cherished. Planting sunflowers in the yard, painting and scrapbooking, watching Transformers, shopping, or picking up shells on the beach were just a few of the many simple occasions that she adored.
Patsy lived a life of dedication to her family and friends, and to her community. She was a member of the Mar Mac Ladies Auxiliary, the Southern Wayne Woman’s Club, the Home Demonstration Club and the Wayne County Fire Ladies Auxiliary where she served as their chaplain. For many years, Patsy served as the director of the flower show at the Wayne Country Agriculture Fair.
A service to celebrate Patsy’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor John Howard, Bishop Jim Whitfield and Pastor Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Left to cherish Patsy’s memory are her husband of almost 50 years, Larry Patrick Mozingo; children, Tara Mozingo and Graham Mozingo and wife Christel; grandchildren, Tyler Best and Brianna Mozingo; her sisters-in-law, Pat Johnson and Sheila Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in Patsy’s memory to the Children’s Ministries at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
