The past few days have left Wayne County saturated with rain.
According to figures released by the National Weather Service, Wayne County saw close to seven inches of rainfall over a 48 hour period that ended at 8 AM Friday.
The highest readings of 6 ¾ inches came from the Goldsboro area.
