North Carolina is joining the growing list of states offering a lottery with big cash prizes for those who get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Gov. Roy Cooper said the state is “pulling out all the stops” in announcing “Your Shot at a Million: Summer Cash Drawing.”
North Carolinians who’ve already been vaccinated and those that are about to get their shot will be automatically enrolled in the four drawings for $1 million each which will be held every other Wednesday starting June 23rd and running until August 4th.
Anyone getting their vaccine June 10th or after will be entered twice to win Summer Cash.
Those aged 12 – 17 that get vaccinated will be entered into drawings for $125,000 for post-secondary education.
Gov. Cooper says a chance at $1 million or a college scholarship is great motivation, but even if you’re name isn’t drawn, you’ll still be receiving strong protection against a deadly virus.
