June 17, 2021, 76, Goldsboro –

Johnice Butler Jackson, 76, of Goldsboro departed her walk of life on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Wayne UNC Heath Care in Goldsboro surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Wayne County on March 27, 1945 to the late Johnnie and Essie Jacobs Butler.

She is survived by her three sons, Travis Jackson and wife, Lita, Greg Jackson and wife, Crystal and Jeff Jackson; two daughters, Toria Royster and Tonya Sykes; one brother, Leroy Butler; three sisters, Doretha Austin and husband, Donald, Geraldine Rowe and husband, George and Sandra Butler; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ira Jackson Jr.
