Around 5:30 AM on Wednesday, the Wayne County 911 Center received a call reporting a shooting on the 100 block of Pearsall Lane in Dudley.  Deputies and EMS responded to the scene and located a male victim inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.  The victim, 18-year-old Rae’quan Leftdwridge of Dudley, was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care and later died from his injuries.  A juvenile in the home at the time of the shooting was not injured.  The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says this investigation is continuing and no further information can be released at this time.
