Sheila Kay Thompson, 65, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on February 18, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Donald J. Hazelip, Sr. and Carolyn Wingle Hazelip.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Greyowl Thompson.

She is survived by her loving children; Vivian Lynn Combs-Ferrell and fiancée, Chris of Goldsboro, Donald Ben Combs and wife Tricia of Goldsboro, Carolyn Ava Tauber and husband, Jimmy, Jr. of Pikeville, and Henry Bryant Combs, III of Goldsboro; step-daughter, Amber Bennett and husband, David; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kayla, Adam, Jesslyn, Christian, Ava, Alivia, and Izayah; brother, Donald Hazelip, Jr.; sister, Susan Munday; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended families.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate her life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.
