National Night Out activities return to Goldsboro next week!
The community event encourages residents to come together in a spirit of unity and take a stand against violence and crime.
Cpl. Marissa Davis with the Goldsboro Police Department says there is plenty of excitement for the 2021 event.
She says, after 30 years of National Night Out in Wayne County, vendors and organizations are always ready to come and show off their resources to the community.
National Night Out includes a resource fair where attendees can learn more about programs that are available to residents, ranging from domestic violence programs to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Vendors and organizations wishing to set up a booth during National Night Out can visit the Goldsboro Police Department’s Facebook page or email [email protected] by this Thursday, July 29th.
Cpl. Davis also says this is a night where police officers and sheriff’s deputies “want to connect to the community.”
She encourages residents to talk to the law enforcement officers and ask them questions about their jobs and equipment.
