Wayne County United Soccer Club sent five teams to the Explosion Cup in Wilson this past weekend with all five teams came back as finalists.
The Academy girls and U12 boys lifted the trophy, while the U10 academy boys, U13 boys, and U16 girls took home the runners-up medals.
“This was a great opening weekend for our fall season teams, our players did a great job given how hot it was all weekend. A great credit to them, the coaching staff, and the parents for the support all weekend,” WCUSC Director of Coaching Steve Ellis said.
