The last weekend in August will bring some of the hottest air of the year to the region. The National Weather Service says temps are expected to top out in the mid-90s through Tuesday. Heat indices will likely approach 100-degrees in the Goldsboro area this weekend. Everyone is reminded to be safe in the heat:
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day
- Avoid working outside during the hottest parts of the day
- Check up on neighbors and the elderly
