David Wayne King, age 62, of the Beautancus community near Mount Olive, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.

Wayne had been employed with Helix Poly before he became disabled. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Local Wildlife Hunting Club. He also enjoyed good barbecue and chicken.

Wayne is survived by his father, David Junior King of Mount Olive; a son, Anthony Blake King and wife, Audrey, of Mount Olive; two grandchildren, Anthony Barrett King and Auden B. King, both of Mount Olive; and two sisters, Belinda King Holland and husband, Billy, of Dudley, and Dawn King Waters and husband, Phil, of Mount Olive, along with their families.

His mother, Peggy Swinson King, preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. Pastor Jeff Dail will officiate. Friends may greet the family at the cemetery at the conclusion of the service, and also at the home of Phil and Dawn Waters on Jim Best Road, Mount Olive.
