A suspect is charged for July armed robbery in Goldsboro. The Goldsboro Police Department reports 21-year-old Aukwanzza L. Hocutt of Goldsboro was arrested on Thursday for charges of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Hocutt was given a $75,000 secured bond.
The charges stem from the July 16th robbery on the 11000 block of Maple Street. A male victim reported that he had been on a date with an acquaintance. While in a parked vehicle, two armed males approached them and ordered the male victim to exit the vehicle at gunpoint. The victim was assaulted and forced to send money via CashApp to his date. The suspects took property from the victim and fled the scene.
The GPD says the investigation into this case is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
