Members of the Southern Wayne High School Air Force ROTC held a special ceremony in honor of the anniversary of September 11th. Friday morning, students, staff, firefighters from Grantham, Dudley, Thoroughfare, Mount Olive, Arrington and Mar-Mac, as well as paramedics from Wayne County EMS Station 8 met at the school’s flagpole to take part in the ceremony honoring the fallen heroes of 9/11. Principal Smith reminded students of the word “gratitude” and its meaning. The ROTC members raised the flag to start the event and folded the flag at the ceremony’s end.
