Join the University of Mount Olive for a Faculty Recital on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 7 PM. in Hazel Waters Kornegay Assembly Hall. The event will feature Dr. William Ford on saxophone and clarinet. Ford will be accompanied by Alisa Gilliam on piano, Dr. Alan Armstrong on cello, Quintin Mallette on percussion, and Matthews Driscoll on Trombone.
The program will begin with music from the Classical Period, Beethoven’s TrIo in Bb major, Opus 11. It will then progress through ever-changing musical characteristics and instrumentation into the Contemporary Period, including Stallaert’s Bestiarie, Armand Russell’s Particles, and Pierre Max Dubois’s Circus Parade. The evening will end with Mike Springer’s NOLA, A Tribute to New Orleans.
“From Beethoven to Ragtime, this program offers something for everyone,” said Ford.
