Dylan Tyndall posted a sixth-place time of 22 minutes, 13 seconds and Southern Wayne took fourth overall in a four-team Quad County 3A Conference meet ran Wednesday afternoon at the Bryan Multi-Sports Complex.
Smithfield-Selma, Fike and West Johnston also competed in the meet with Smithfield-Selma’s Alex Topoly taking first place in 18:33.
Tyndall’s teammate Jabari Pearsall turned in a 10th-place effort of 22:57.
On the girls’ side, Southern Wayne’s Elaina Lane (28:35), Lehyssa St. Julien (28:38) and Nerchka Maxi (29:31) finished the 5k course in 12th, 13th and 14th, respectively.
Goldsboro’s Jay Bass completed the course in 18 minutes, 39 seconds, while Carly Court (24:06), Mia Vaughn (26:10) and Katie Wagner (27:36) also ran for the Cougars.
