Police storm a Goldsboro home to arrest a shooting suspect.
The Goldsboro Police Department reports 21-year-old Jason D. Haskill of Goldsboro was identified as a suspect in the September 11th shooting on the 1000 block of N. Spence Avenue that sent a 19-year-old female to the hospital.
On Thursday, the Goldsboro Police Department received information that Haskill was at a residence on the 100 block of Piedmont Airline Road. Haskill was identified as “armed and dangerous.” The GPD’s Emergency Response Team was activated and attempted to make contact at the residence where Haskill was located. Haskill refused to respond or exit the residence. ERT personnel entered the residence and Haskill retreated into the attic space where he unsuccessfully attempted to bust out onto the roof. During his attempts to find another escape route, Haskill reportedly fell through the ceiling to the floor where he was taken into custody by ERT personnel.
Haskill is being held without bond for the charge of Attempted Murder.
