The search continues for WCC’s new president.
This Tuesday, the Trustees of Wayne Community College discussed the latest in the hunt for the campus’ next leader.
Board Chair Geoff Hulse says things are moving along, and ELA has already sent a narrowed candidate list to the search committee.
15 candidates were presented to the search committee, and that committee plans to meet October 12th to pick the finalists.
Executive Leadership Associates (ELA) is managing the nationwide search and working with a trustee search committee.
The plan is to start meeting candidates in late October, and Hulse urged his fellow trustees to be very involved in the upcoming interviews.
Hulse said, “This is the big enchilada that the Board of Trustees does.”
The hope is to have WCC’s next president in place in early 2022.
