It’s the final days of the 2021 Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair.
Fair Manager Eddie Pitzer tells GoldsboroDailyNews.com the fair got off to a great start and they’ve had good attendance every night since opening on Thursday, September 30.
Pitzer says the attendees seem to be enjoying getting out, having fun, and enjoying the fair’s food and rides, especially after the last year or so.
He says they certainly missed holding the fair in 2020 due to the pandemic, but the fair staff is already busy planning for 2022’s event.
Pitzer reminds many of the kids participating in the fair’s livestock competitions are getting ready for the N.C. State Fair.
Some of the kids are collecting points as part of the showmanship circuit leading up the grand finale at the State Fair.
Pitzer says, this year, they’ve wanted to add an educational touch to the fair by providing facts about the livestock being displayed during the event.
This Saturday, October 9, is the last day of the 2021 fair.
