Goldsboro’s Erin Barnett and Rosewood’s Lexi Lewis both qualified for the 1A/2A State Championship on Monday afternoon.
During the 1A/2A regionals held at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course, Barnett turned in an 18-hole round of 81 to finish in eighth place. Lewis carded a 91 and finished tied for ninth.
Barnett and Lewis will now head to the Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Southern Pines for the 1A/2A State Championship that starts on Oct. 25.
