Goldsboro ran past Spring Creek 42-14 in Neuse Six 2A Conference play on Friday evening.
With the win, the Cougars improved to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Gators dropped to 3-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Goldsboro will look to clinch playoff spot Eastern Wayne (7-2, 3-1) on Oct. 29, while Spring Creek wraps up the regular season against Beddingfield (1-6, 0-4).
