The number of has stabilized, but Wayne County continues to record hundreds of new coronavirus cases every week. According to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, 422 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Wayne County over the past two weeks. Wayne County has recorded 300 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began.
Wednesday’s figures from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services show 63,749 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Wayne County, which represents 52% of the county’s population. 57,284 people have been fully vaccinated, which is 46% of the population of Wayne County.
