John Cedron Barber, 56, passed away Monday after a short battle with cancer. He was a truck driver for FedEx before his illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dean Barber, and is survived by his mother, Sara Coles Barber; brother, Daniel D. Barber and wife, Di Anna of Goldsboro; niece, Eryn M. Barber; and nephews, Connor S. Barber and Nicholas A Barber.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Smith officiating. Committal will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and other family members Saturday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM.
