December 18, 2021, 79, Beautancus –

Linda Evelyn Jones, 79, of the Beautancus community passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Alwood and Louise Miller-Jones. She loved the Lord with all her heart and attended Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She helped in the women’s ministries, especially with her talent to crochet prayer shawls. Not only could she crochet, but she was a very talented artist. She held a special gift for sketching and painting.  

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Jimmy Lassiter officiating.

Linda is survived by her children, Kris “Bump” Sutton and wife, Kristy of Mt. Olive, Lindon Ray Sutton Jr. of Mt. Olive, Daphne Swinson and husband, Mitchell of Mt. Olive, Stephne Hope Sutton and Raeford Royal of Clinton, and Heather Lassiter and husband, Jimmy of Mt. Olive; a sister, Nita Jackson of Beautancus; grandchildren, Dustin Swinson, Madeline Swinson, Jacob Sutton, Raychel Rhodes and husband, Blake, Mary Beth Barwick, Gabe Jernigan, Rayna Lassiter, Garett Sutton, Bailey Grace Sutton, and Sydnee Sutton; a great grandchild, Sutton Grace Rhodes niece, Gaye Brock and husband, Alan; great niece, Stacey Jackson, Brock; great nephew, Dylan Jackson Franklin; and great nephews, John Allen Quinn and Jolen Langston.

A brother, Larry Jones and nephew, Wayne Jackson preceded her in death.
