Susan Valley Kearney, 63, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Chapel Hill on September 21, 1958, she was the daughter of Lois M. Valley and the late James Joseph Valley, Sr.

In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her children, Christy A. Valley (Patrick Robbins), Brandon Valley (Jennifer), and Katie Loar (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Tyler, James, Carter, Ruby, Annica, Kole, and Kinsley; brothers, Larry Valley (Lisa) and James Valley, Jr. (Leanne); a true heart friend, Ronda Hughes; special friend, Ray Dorado; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Melissa Wyant.

Susan was a gentle soul with a kind heart and a mother to anyone that would allow her to love them. Family was paramount to Susan, she loved them all dearly. She was a dedicated and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Susan’s family takes great comfort in knowing that she was ready to leave this world for her eternal home and now rests in the arms of her Savior.

The family will conduct a celebration of Susan’s life at a later date.
