Billy Hardy Pearce, Sr., 77, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Lenoir UNC Health Care surrounded by his family. He was born in Johnston County on December 2, 1944 to the late William Waverly Pearce Sr. and Annie Molissa Talton Pearce. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Waverly Pearce, Jr.
Mr. Pearce is survived by two sons, David Hardy Pearce and wife Beth of Wendell, and Billy Hardy Pearce, Jr. and wife Heather of Kinston; sisters, Shelvy Jean Clapp and (Bill) of Durham, Elsie Ann Worley and (Leo) of Durham, Sallie Rachel Penny and (Johnny) of Princeton, and Judy Carol Yates of Princeton; grandchildren, Dezzaray Nicole Wood, Billy Hardy Pearce III, and Jeremy Isaiah Pearce; great grandchildren, Matthew Wood and Sloane Wood.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, February 8th at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm prior to the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations, Princeton, NC.
