For the fifth year in a row, Wayne Country Day advanced to the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 2A semifinals.
The Chargers pulled out a 59-57 victory over Northside Christian Academy in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Collin Tanner scored a team-high 20 points. Nayshin Waller contributed 14 points, Jordan Cooper had nine points, while Zane Cogdell scored seven points.
Wayne Country Day (25-7 overall) will travel to Burlington on Tuesday for a rematch against The Burlington School (27-7). The squads faced off in the semifinals last season.
