(GDN) — In the early morning hours of February 14th, the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the reported sexual assault at an apartment at the Legacy at Berkeley Place. A female victim reported she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance.
Patrol officers secured the scene and the victim was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care for evaluation. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit were contacted and responded to the scene.
The suspect was identified and a warrant was secured on 31-year-old Afo K. Sade of Clayton for one count of 2nd Degree Forcible Rape. Sade was taken into custody by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. He was transferred to the Wayne County Jail where he was held in lieu of a $100,000 secured bond.
