(GDN) – The “Honor Our Firsts” community gala was a success in Goldsboro on Saturday night. Around 700 people gathered to enjoy festivities including a formal dinner, guest speakers, awards, dancing, and raffle drawings. Organizers say the celebration shined a spotlight on local law enforcement, emergency medical technicians and firefighters. The event was made possible by local sponsors, the Honor Our Firsts Board and the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.
