Young Farmers and Ranchers hosted “We Dig It: Ag Days,” on Tuesday, April 12th at Odom Farming Company in Goldsboro.
More than 1500 students learned the importance of agriculture in their daily lives, from the food they consume to the clothes they wear. The students rotated through stations such as peanuts, ornamental horticulture, sweet potatoes, cotton, wheat, corn, beans, honeybees, forestry, dairy cattle, dairy goats, hogs, chickens and beef cattle.
In the past the Young Farmers have partnered with Wayne County Cooperative Extension, NC Forestry Association, NC Cattlemen’s Association, NC Pork Council, Smithfield, the Beekeepers of the Neuse and the Wayne County FFA.
