(GDN) – On Friday, April 22, 2022 members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County joined with UScellular to celebrate Earth Day. The children planted sunflowers along the front of the Goldsboro Club to prepare vegetable gardens for spring plantings.

UScellular representatives say the event focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programing and learning. They say their goal is to help motivate students to gain a better understanding of how volunteerism and technology can create solutions to improve the community.
