This week, Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) non-traditional academic calendar high schools will kick off the school district’s graduation season. Over the next four weeks, WCPS high schools will graduate more than 1,100 seniors.
School district leaders congratulate the Graduating Class of 2022.
“Graduates have faced and overcome some extraordinary challenges during their high school career,” states Dr. David Lewis, WCPS superintendent. “While learning the traditional academic content, graduates also learned life-lessons in perseverance and determination as they navigated school in the middle of a global pandemic. As a result, this year’s graduates are better prepared for their future academic and workforce pursuits, and are better equipped to meet adversity head on to overcome any obstacles they may encounter along the way. We wish each of them a rewarding future ahead!”
