A special groundbreaking event will be held Thursday, August 4, for the new Fremont Elementary School. 

Members of the Wayne County Board of Education, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners, WCPS/County of Wayne leadership, and other invited dignitaries will ceremonially break ground on the new school. The school construction is scheduled to be completed in 2024.

The groundbreaking event is open to the public at 9 AM. The site is located off HWY 222, just off US I-795 in Fremont.
