On September 28, 2022, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol, responded to a breaking and entering in progress at 2776 Zion Church Road. A description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle was given out to responding law enforcement.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle and perform a traffic stop. The driver, 35-year-old Teashone Maurice Washington of Kinston was identified as the suspect.

Washington was taken into custody and charged with felony breaking and or entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and larceny of a firearm. Washington was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond.
