Maxine Bullard Young, 76, of Dudley passed away on Sunday at the home of her daughter. She was the daughter of the late Chalmers and Viola Bullard. Maxine was a member of Providence Church and served as the chairperson for Indian affairs and was a member of the Wesley Covenant class as well as the Twilight Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the Providence Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Karen Young Mitchell, husband, Jesse Linwood of Dudley and their son, Wyatt; and Loretta Young of Clayton; her children Nicole Rowland, Brittney Brown, Ray Holt, Dee Holt, Tristan Holt, Malakhi Holt; grandchildren Dakota Holt, Samantha Rowland, Amanda Rowland, and Kristopher Brown; and great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Delaney Holt; sister, Mary Hunt and husband, Edward of Lumberton; several nieces and nephews; and the father of her children, Willie Young. 

Maxine was preceded in death by two brothers, Chalmer Bullard Jr. and James Bullard.

The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice for the loving care they provided Maxine during their time with her.
