On November 11th 2022, members from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division D-Shift were dispatched to a suspicious person call in the eastern portion of Wayne County. Upon arrival to the call, it was discovered a residence had been broken into and multiple items were discovered to be missing.
After a canvas of the neighborhood, Rodrego Herring and Christa Lanaville was developed as the suspects of the Breaking and Entering. Herring and Lanaville were located and charged. Lanaville was charged with 2 counts of Felony Breaking or Entering, 2 counts of Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering, 6 counts of Larceny of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Herring was charged with 2 counts of Felony Breaking or Entering, 2 counts of Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering, 6 counts of Larceny of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Felon.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Warrant division and Investigations division assisted diligently with this investigation, and the majority of the stolen property was recovered. Herring was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Magistrates Office where he was charged
and given a bond of $90,000 while Lanaville was charged and given a bond of $25,000. Both Herring and Lanaville were turned over to the Wayne County Detention staff for processing.
