On November 28, 2022, and November 30, 2022, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to an Instagram message threatening to harm students and staff of Brogden Middle School. After being notified of these threats, the Sheriff’s Office immediately began an investigation into the threats.

Asa result of the investigation, it was determined that an eleven year old juvenile made the threats, and juvenile petitions will be filed against that juvenile. At no time were the students and staff in any danger due to these threats
