Christmas Eve kept firefighters in the Southern portion of Wayne County busy answering multiple emergency calls.
Firefighters from Mount Olive, Dudley, and Indian Springs were dispatched to an electrical short, followed by Indian Springs firefighters receiving a single-vehicle accident call. Then while on this call they were dispatched to assist Dudley and Arrington Fire Departments on a working structure fire in the 200 block on Janice Drive, off of Emmaus Church Road.
A family on Janice drive lost their home early Christmas Eve. Firefighters responding to the scene said they could see the flames from the structure prior to their arrival.
Fire Officials called in the Red Cross to assist the family.
