March 11, 2023, 62, Mount Olive –

Mary Katharine Fields, known to all as simply Kathy Fields, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Kathy resided in the Thunder Swamp area west of Mount Olive. 

She, along with her husband and son, owned and operated Katharine’s Signs, where she used her artistic abilities to create and enhance signage for area businesses.

Kathy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mount Olive.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Fields, of the home; a son, Kyle Fields of Dunn; brothers, Jay Sieprawski and wife, Robin, of Cary, Billy Sieprawski and wife, Michelle, of Mount Olive, and Jamie Sieprawski of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Sieprawski, and her mother, Frances Bauso Sieprawski.  Kathy will be remembered for her love of art, animals, and a good baseball game.

Her life was celebrated Thursday, March 16, at 5:30 p.m. in a service at St. Mary’s of the Angels Catholic Church of Mount Olive.
