Kenneth Damon Coker, age 77, passed away Monday. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of the late James Clifton and Hazel Holmes Coker. He was the husband of the late Judy Thornton Coker. A Veteran of the North Carolina National Guard, he was a self-employed carpenter.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Clifton Coker; his daughter, Teresa Coker & wife, Jordan; his brother, Jerry Coker; his sister, Shirley Overton.

Along with his parents & wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Coker, Judson Coker & James “Buddy” Coker; his sisters, Eunice Guy, Kay Swinson & Lorraine Creech.
