On May 15, 2023, at approximately 11 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of a robbery in the 1100 block of Parkway Drive. Employees of the business stated that a man entered their building and removed the personal property of one of the employees. A female employee was also assaulted by the suspect during the theft. In addition, the suspect pointed a firearm at a subject attempting to prevent his escape. The suspect subsequently fled the business in a vehicle towards N. Berkeley Boulevard. The female employee who was assaulted was transported to UNC Health Wayne for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
