The United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2023 Blatant Lacrosse Division II All-American Teams and eight Conference Carolinas student-athletes made the list.
Belmont Abbey, the 2023 Conference Carolinas regular season champions, led three different league programs with four honorees while North Greenville had three student-athletes recognized and Mount Olive had one honoree.
Mike Marto of Mount Olive was named to the third team as a face-off specialist. The graduate student from Saddle Brook, New Jersey led Conference Carolinas and finished second in NCAA Division II with a .691 face-off winning percentage as he won 239 face-offs this season in 15 games. He took nearly 92 percent (346-of-378) of the team’s total face-off attempts and scored three times for the Trojans. Marto earned first team All-Conference Carolinas and USILA All-Region honors while also being named to the USILA Senior All-Star team.
Davis McCulley, James Bucher, Jacob Power and Thomas Sullivan of Belmont Abbey and Thomas Cecere, Cameron Webb and Anthony Pecoraro of North Greenville each earned honorable mention accolades.
