William (Bill) McCoy White, Jr.

June 3, 2023, 80, Goldsboro –

William (Bill) McCoy White, Jr., 80, of Goldsboro NC went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Bill was born to the late William McCoy and Lucy Reddick White of Colerain, NC on November 20, 1942.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Daniels White, their daughter Janet Moore of Goldsboro and her three children Landon, Kaleb, and Danielle, their son, William Ray White of Trent Woods, NC, his wife Bianca and two children Elin and Sloane, as well as his sister Rhetta Waters and her husband Gerald of Powellsville, NC, his brothers Douglas R. White of Winton, NC and Carroll White and wife Dianna also of Winton, along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by some very special friends that were considered family; Stan Sharber of Kinston, Wayne Marshbanks of Goldsboro, Bill Parker of Goldsboro, Frank and Nelda Williams of Goldsboro, and Tom and Patsy Nobles of Wilson.

Bill retired from Belk after 38 years of service where he last worked as store manager for the local Goldsboro store. He was known as Mr. White to some but also Daddy White and Billy to many as employees and coworkers became family and dear friends with him and his family over those many years of work, business trips, and laughter.

Bill was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church for over 40 years where he enjoyed many years of service and fellowship. He was an avid golfer and again made many lasting friendships while taking in a few holes.

Bill and Anna both enjoyed outings with the Golden Agers and the senior group through Goldsboro Parks and Recreation playing corn hole and participating in the Senior Games.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Adamsville Baptist Church in Goldsboro. Interment will conclude at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Colerain, 2517 NC Hwy 45, Colerain, NC.

The family wishes to publically thank Jaime Ham and the staff from UNC Internal Medicine. Freddie Adams and staff from Southeast Family Pharmacy, along with some very precious people from Center Well; Kristy Moye, Carole Gardner, Lori Denning, and Stephanie Mullis for all of the love, help, and support. You have all been such a blessing to our family and we can never thank you enough for all you have done.
