June 21, 2023, 81, Moss Hill –

Lynwood Earl Hill was freed from the cares of this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. He was born in Lenoir County to the late Offie Hill and Gladys Elmore Hill on November 24, 1941. In addition to his parents, Lynwood was preceded in death by his brother, Elwood Hill.

Lynwood was a proud graduate of Moss Hill School and a member of the Moss Hill community. Some of his favorite times were those spent camping, especially in the mountains or at Emerald Isle. Lynwood was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the quiet thrill of a tug on the line. He was a loving father and lived life for “his girls.”

A service of love and remembrance will be held by the Graveside at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Lynwood is survived by his daughters, Teresa Hill Ramaglino and husband, Donald, and Melissa Hill Grady and husband, Allen; three grandchildren, Brittany Fosland and husband, Jonathan, Tori Paige Carde, and Skyler Grady and wife, Samantha; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Wilson, Annabella Davis, Colby Fosland, Layla Tyson, Silas Tyson, and Elizabeth Grady; sister-in-law, Carrie Hill; and two nephews, James and Michael Hill.
