Mount Olive Walmart to Show off Renovations on Friday

On Friday at 10 a.m., the Mount Olive community will be welcomed back to the newly remodeled Walmart store located at 308 NC Highway 55 West. A celebratory ribbon-cutting and community event will take place that includes the recognition of community partnerships with the presentation of grants to local organizations. A new Mount Olive-focused mural will also be revealed during the re-opening event.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests are invited inside the store to see the transformation that includes innovations and improvements designed to elevate the Walmart shopping experience.

There will also be a balloon release in honor of Eric Cortes, former Mount Olive Walmart manager, who passed away in April of this year.

Also in attendance will be Mount Olive Mayor Ken Talton, Tommy Brown, Former Chief of Police, Mount Olive Police Department, Representatives from the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce, All the King’s Children Foundation, Men of FIC and Aklebulan Community Reform.
