The Kinston Wingmen rallied for a 12-9 win over the Red Springs Air Force on July 11. The game was cut short after 6 ½ innings by the umpires due to injuries to the Red Springs’ roster.
The Wingmen held a 4-1 lead after one inning, but the Air Force responded with seven runs in the top of the fourth to go in front 8-4.
Jacon Albarado and Fisher Harrison both contributed RBI singles to bring Kinston to within 8-6 in the home half of the fifth inning.
Red Springs extended its lead to 9-6 in the top of the sixth inning.
Kinston rallied to take a 12-9 lead in the bottom of the sixth.
The Air Force were unable to score in the top of the seventh, and the game was called due to injuries to Red Springs’ roster.
Kinston visits the Clayton Clovers Saturday evening at 7.
