July 18, 2023, 37, Goldsboro —
Andrew Cody Brogden, 37, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Cody was born in Wayne County to Rene Nelson Savage and David Richard Brogden on November 1, 1985. He had been an employee of Miracle Movers in Wilmington.
We have no idea what triggered Cody to want to go back to the very thing that almost destroyed his life before, but we do know that he made a bad choice. Despite all his success, Cody still battled his urge to use and on July 18, 2023, he lost that battle for the last time. Drugs are evil and destroy people and their families. If you or someone you know is affected by homelessness, mental disorder, and substance use disorder, and wants to get help, please reach out to Tommys Foundation (www.tommysfoundation.org). It would be an honor to help you find your path to freedom from addiction and homelessness.
