Southern Wayne improved to 2-0 with a resounding 56-14 win at Goldsboro on Friday night.
The Saints won their third consecutive meeting with the Cougars, and improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2011.
Southern Wayne has a bye week before visiting Rosewood at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8.
