On Aug. 29 around 7 a.m., Goldsboro Police Department’s Patrol A-Shift responded to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet at 1005 N. Spence Ave. for a welfare check. EMS responded and declared the victim, Jerry Lee Stainback, 62, of Seven Springs, deceased. Investigations were notified and responded to the location.

According to City of Goldsboro Public Information Officer LaToya Henry, an official cause of death for Stainback has not been released. No foul play is suspected at this time and Stainback’s family has been notified.
