September 7, 2023, 71 Pikeville —

Patricia Ballree Langston, 71, of Pikeville went to her heavenly home Thursday, September 7, 2023, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Homegoing service will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Patricia was born in Wayne County on July 14th, 1952 to the late Woodrow Wilson and Edna “Grace” Ballree. She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and went on to receive an associate’s Degree in Medical Terminology with Suma Cum Laude honors and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society. She was a dedicated employee with UNC Wayne Hospital in numerous positions for over 25 years of service.

Pat was a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She enjoyed her hobbies of crocheting, reading, and spending time at her “happy place” located near the shores of Emerald Isle NC. Most of of all spending time and making forever memories with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories; with over 50 years of marriage her husband, Randy Langston; a son, Chris Langston, and wife, Michelle Langston of Snow Hill; a daughter, Jennifer Langston Fontine and husband, Brian Fontine; two grandchildren, Hunter Thompson and fiancee, Savannah Strickland and Meah Grace Fontine of Pikeville; a sister, Iris Jo Williamson, and husband, Randy Williamson of Goldsboro along with many loved nieces and nephews and treasured great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by three brothers; Woodrow Willson Ballree Jr., Jerry Ballree, and Dan Ballree, and one sister, Rebecca Ballree.
