Billy Garry Newcomb, 67, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, September 28th at his home surrounded by family.

Billy was born on the 21st of January in 1956 to Glenn and Inez Newcomb in Wayne County. Billy started his first job at Newcomb’s Cabinet Shop and later would start a career with Tri-County Electric as a lineman, kickstarting a 40-year career with Tri-County. In 2018, Billy retired and spent his time traveling, fishing, working outside in his yard, and loving his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Milford Newcomb.

Billy is survived by his two sons, Austin (Britney) Newcomb of Selma and Cameron (Ashley) Newcomb of Kenly, and two sisters, Glenda Newcomb and Phyllis Hargrove, and grandchildren, Nolan, Lilly and Hudson Newcomb

Graveside services to celebrate Billy’s life will be held at Princeton Cemetery on Sunday, October 1st at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
